- Then, you need to name it as "StorageDevicePolicies".
- Make sure StorageDevicePolicies is selected. You have to go to the right pane, right-click and choose "DWORD (32-bit) Value".
- Input the name as WriteProtect and set its value as .
Remove Write Protection via Diskpart
- Go to the Start, search for Command Prompt, right-click on it, and select the Run as administrator option.
- It will display the Command Prompt window.
- You need to enter the following command and hit the Enter button.
diskpart
- Now, you have to enter the following command and hit the Enter button.
list disk select disk X (Replace "X" with the number of your write-protected hard drive.)
- If you get the message Disk attributes cleared successfully and hit the Exit option.
- Now, you need to go back to your CMD and run the chkdsk command.
- Then, you will fix this issue.
Recover Files from Hard Drive
- You have to download the EaseUS Data Recovery wizrad on your system.
- Then, you need to select the location and start scanning.
- You have to wait until the scanning completes.
- Then, you can use Filter or search bar to find lost files.
- Choose a location to save the recovered data and hit the OK button.
